A Shift in Night [WHOLESALE]

I love everything Maddox writes, but this may be my favorite of their books that I’ve read so far (and this is the 6th one I’ve read)!

This edition is also beautiful! The full color map and the interior character art is stunning. And those iridescent details are gorgeous.

I finished this book a few weeks ago and honestly I still think about it daily. I absolutely LOVED Talon and Scythe....their personal growth was chefs kiss. The was this was written makes it easy to digest but purely addicting at the same time! I had happy tears....sad tears and it has led to an obsession LOL This book was witty, emotional and so hot.

I received an advance listener copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I completed loved this audiobook and was obsessed with it. I did not want to stop or for it to be over.

For the audiobook portion I loved the variety of voices for the main characters and the side characters it really brought the whole book to life.

I absolutely loved the world built and the characters. Talon is a nonbinary cursed werewolf, Scythe is the last witch of the woods. They both have had a rough life and ended up only having a sister they cared about. There’s a lot of tension between Scythe and Talon as they dislike each other but are equally secretly obsessed with one another after their meeting in Of Melodies and Maledictions. It is a slow burn for them to admit their feeling but definitely not slow on the spice.

There is such a good story. Talon found their sisters missing and went back to the woods to find Scythe to assist finding them. I love the dynamic that Scythe hardly leaves her woods, and when she does is to only the nearby towns and for very little time, so when she leaves with Talon to save their sisters she is experiencing the world as the story progresses along with the reader. We slowly see them both start to care for one another, but don't admit it. While it is always frustrating (at least to me) when characters don't want to admit how they feel it is totally worth it when they do. 😍🥰

Near the end of the book there is like a full chapter (possible longer) that had me bawling. I was not prepared for all the emotions.😭😭

I did not want to stop listening to it and every time I had to pause to be responsible I was very upset. I am curious if we will get other Standalones in this same world, I would love to see a few of the side characters get their own book. Overall I absolutely loved and enjoyed this book!

This was a great Prequel Novella. It was a short and spicy beginning introduction to the characters we get to meet in Of Silver and Curses.

I absolutely loved the meeting between Scythe and Talon. I can’t wait to see more between the two of them. We get just a glimpse of the world and characters but it definitely made me excited to start Of Silver and Curses.

I loved this standalone romantasy audiobook! It's done in dual POV with a FULL CAST; the narration has lots of emotion and I was never bored listening. There's so much delicious banter (my favorite) and laughed out loud so much lol especially at the end (hands and fingers- you'll know when you finish it).
Syth is a total badass and Tal is a loyal, protective, swoonworthy werewolf. The spice and chemistry between them is SO SO GOOD g.

I first read Samaras story the end of December last year finished early January the reread the whole series in February. I couldn't wait for Ryan's story. The conversations you get from Samara's pov about Rynn and the alpha pack. I couldn't wait. When it came out I was finishing up a book I was reading but jumped into this. Read it so fast and had so much fun learning more about the alpha pack. I love Rynn. Ryker is probably my favorite with Sebastian coming in second. I can't wait to learn more about cade, Selene and Warrick. I honestly want to read again now that I have the physical copy.

I actually stumbled across this series on a stuff your kindle day and also hoopla had the audio so I listened to it then needed to listen to books 2 and 3. I bought the colored sprayed edges a few months ago but really wanted the omnibus as well. I did by the dented copy for a cheaper price but it's honestly still in really good condition. I love Samara and her mates. I love the way the world works with having turned into furies, velesians and moroi. I have also read Ryan's first book and can't wait to see where the rest of the series goes.

I haven't actually read the book yet. I loved how all my books came and the goodies that came with plus velium overlays that came with some other books that came with this book. I love the foiling on the cover that gives a rainbow effect plus I love the character art in the beginning of the book. I can't wait to read.

This series is equal parts enchanting writing and hypnotizing story line. Alex Frost (Maddox Grey) can literally do no wrong. Their worlds are beautifully imaginative, and their characters are as diverse as they are fierce and unapologetically themselves. I cannot get enough anything they write.

The page inserts were some of the best I’ve ever received! The whole package was great. I loved all 3 books as well- just completed yesterday and can’t wait for more in this world

These books look gorgeous I can not wait to start reading them.

I read the physical copy when it came out and didn't think I wcould love it more. Then the audiobook came out and blew me away. The narrator has been the same through out the series and really brings the story to life in ways that make you feel all the feels.

Loved the overlay and while marked as an imperfect copy, I could barely find any imperfections

Great characters, excellent world building and a very interesting plot
