As an indie author you tend to wear many hats. So. Many. Hats. One of those hats is the publishing side of things. Enter Greymalkin Press, the name that Maddox Grey and their pen name(s) publishes under.
Maddox Grey
Maddox Grey is the author of the romantic fantasy series, Lost Legacies.
After earning a degree in history and political science, Maddox was pulled kicking and screaming from the world of academia and thrust into the tech industry. Because they had bills to pay and nerd muscles to flex.
Whenever possible, they leave reality behind to build fantasy worlds filled with snarky morally grey characters and hot but devious love interests. Maddox currently resides in the northeast, but they’ll always consider themselves Californian at heart. They live with their partner and faithful, but often stinky, furry companions.
Alex Frost
Alex Frost is… actually Maddox Grey. Dun dun duuuuun!
Okay probably not that dramatic of a reveal since it isn’t exactly a closely guarded secret. The pen name Alex Frost was created to publish the spicier fantasy series that fall under the “Why Choose” genre.
Why Alex Frost? Because Maddox is a freaking nerd. After being trained by local baristas to respond to the name “Alex” instead of Maddox, it seemed like the perfect pen name. Half of it anyway.
Since Maddox already shares their last name with Jean Grey of the X-Men, it seemed fitting to borrow Emma Frost’s last name for their other persona.
